'Where the hell is everybody?': N.S. man left locked inside liquor store

A Nova Scotia man got to live out a “dream come true” on the weekend when he was accidentally left behind in a liquor store after closing.

Gaurav Arora was looking at the beer selection at the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation location in the Halifax business park of Bayers Lake on Sunday night when suddenly the lights shut off.

“I thought it was one of those moments when the power trips and the emergency restoration takes a couple minutes to come back,” he told CTV Atlantic.

Timmins’ Feldman Timber switching to BMR Group banner

A family-owned Timmins building supply business will now carry the banner of a Québec-based company.

Feldman Timber, which has operated in Timmins for close to 110 years, will soon operate under the banner of BMR Group, which owns 300 home renovation centres and hardware stores in Québec, Ontario, and the Maritime provinces.

The companies announced the change on July 8.

"Our goal is to be the leader in our marketplace. BMR offers the most complete program in order to allow us to grow our business,” said Lorne Feldman, the fourth-generation owner at Feldman Timber.
