Level A Reading Assessment Learning Hub Modules are here. We launched this set of modules last fall to assist teachers with completing reading assessments and in finding the data from last year. Though it looks different, the content is identical. The Dossier tutorials are still there too!

These days, kids are experiencing more stress and anxiety than ever before. That’s why Calm is offering free mindfulness training tools to every teacher in the world.
Wakelet was one of my summer projects. If you are a Pinterest user, you may enjoy Wakelet. For me, it was a great place to put some of my education related content (bookmarks, images, ideas I plan to use) in a place apart from my Pinterest - which contains some of everything!!
Here is a link to my Wakelet board of Teacher Memes - https://wke.lt/w/s/NOmBSd - connect with me and let's share a laugh!

My top tip for this newsletter is Pear Deck. Pear Deck is the #1 Add-on for Google Slides. Pear Deck was founded by educators to help teachers engage every student, every day.
Load your old Powerpoint lectures into Google, open with Slides and launch the Pear Deck Add-on.
Sign out a cart of Chromebooks for your class (BYOD Devices work as well) and have the kids go to the website shown (automatically, you do nothing) on your first screen and enter the random access code and your lecture slides will be pushed to their desk.
Pear Deck's free slides include checks for understanding (drag the red/yellow/green dot to represent your understanding of the topic so far), venn diagrams, multiple choice questions, short answer, long answer, mind maps and much more!
And, at the end of class, Pear Deck will create a file in your Google Drive, and if you instruct it to, it will put the responses of each student into that folder. It's a fantastic trail of evidence of learning for you, the teacher to possess.
