A. This was a very big moment for the U.S, as it was controversial and came around the same time as many other social reforms, such as the ones for women, education, and prison. B. This affects me personally because it is hard to imagine a time where alcohol was banned for all, but I can relate as I am not allowed to drink. C. This relates to now because now there is a large debate about marijuana, and if it should be legalized and many compare it to alcohol and say it is better.
A. This was very helpful for the nation because i offered quicker and easier ways for transportation of both people and goods. It was very progressive for technology in the 1900's. B. This affected me because without these inventions, my life today would be much harder in many ways. C. This relates to the present because so many new inventions are created every day, and new kinds of technology are always being formed and advanced. Additionally, any are trying to combine planes and cars and make flying cars.
A. This was a time of big political and social change in the U.S. and led to the Great Depression at the end of the 1920's. However, from 1920-1929 the total wealth of the country more than doubled. B. This relates to me because it has taught me that even though things may go great for awhile it can always go downhill, and to be careful. C. This connects to now because many younger people like to go out and party, and many others would judge them for it.

Especially in the beginning, people were always worried and walking on eggshells. B. This has impacted me personally because it has shown me the tension between Russia and America in the mid 1900's leading up to the 2000's. C. This connects to current times because there is a lot of tension between the U.S. and North Korea and many are concerned that missiles will be sent from one country to the other.

World War 1 had a large effect on the nation because it left people scared and also brought a social upheaval as women took over the workforce to make up for the men who had left to fight, and also had many of the first large technological advances on the war front. B. This impacted me because it showed me what war was like in the early 1900's and the change it brought, both good and bad. C. It relates to the present because we still have many wars that have both positive and negative effects and this is something that we can look back on now and try to avoid.

The Great Migration had an impact on the U.S. because it was the movement of over 6 million African Americans from the harsh Southern climate up to the North where they took advantage of the growing need for industry workers. B. This showed me personally the contrast between the North and South in the 1900's. It also showed me what measures needed to be taken to provide for themselves and their families. C. This connects to the present because there is still a lot of racism and many things are made harder for minorities simply because they're minorities.
A. The attack on Pearl Harbor had a big impact on the country because it was an unexpected and unprovoked bombing that shocked everyone and made everyone angry. It made us feel that we had to protect our country, hence joining World War II. B. Pearl Harbor had an impact on me because it taught me the importance of loving and protecting my country. C. This has had an impact on the U.S. today because we now take the time and effort to love and defend our nation.

This taught many what it truly means to struggle and brought the nation closer together as everyone went through the hard times together. B. For the nation now, it has taught many to be cautious with their money and try to be more careful with what they do because they know what the consequences could be.

It has had a personal impact on me because it has given me the voice I am allowed to have today and the rights I share with others. C. This event has an impact on our nation now because it has shown people to stand up for their rights in movements like the Women's March, or Black Lives Matter.
A. President Truman had an enormous impact in the United States in the 1940's, as he was behind the strategies of fire bombing and island-hopping which were both used in World War II to defeat Japan. B. Personally, Truman had an impact on me because he made a tough decision under pressure and followed through with what he thought was best to defend our country, even though others may not have agreed with his actions. C. To present day, President Truman has an impact in the present because he has shown that what is right isn't always what is easy and there will always be situations where you don't like what you have to do but you still have to do it.
