A. The Model-T changed the way society worked and traveled. The Assembly Line made the cars cheaper and made there be more work in factories, which in turn helped the economy. The Model- T was the first mode of transportation that was affordable to the common man. This made it easier for people to get around, but took away money from the train industry. B. Henry Ford impacts me because I thinks its really cool how this one man changed how things are made in factories and also that he was able to make the first cheap car. Because of him, I, as well as the rest of society, am able to get a car even though I am not in the top percentile of the economy. C. The cheap cars of today all stem from Henry Ford and his assembly line. Also because of Henry Ford there is a car company, Ford, where a lot of people buy their cars. Also, the assembly line is still in use today for many types of production.
A. The Wright Brothers were the first people to produce, sustain, and control a plane. This made a big impact on American life because without the help of their invention, we would be using a lot slower means of transportation to get around, and we would not be able to travel to as many places. They also opened and taught in a flight school to teach people how to pilot an airplane, so it could become a more successful. B. The Wright brothers have impacted me because I like to travel and see different places, but without the Wright brothers I would not get to see as many cool places because it would be a lot slower to travel to different places. C. The Wright brothers connect to the present day because we still use planes even to this day, which shows how successful the wright brothers actually were. Without the help of the Wright brothers the we would not be able to explore the world as easily and travel to different places as fast.
A. Amelia Earhart impacted our nation because she was the first women to achieve many things that had to do with flying. For example, she was the first woman to fly across the the Pacific Ocean. Not only did she set records for being a woman, but she also sets records overall. For example, she was the first to fly to the highest altitude, This impacted the nation because it showed that women could/ can do just as much as men. B. Amelia Earhart has also impacted me as a person because she inspires me to set out to achieve my goals, even if others say that it's impossible. C. Amelia Earhart connects to the present day because even to this day we still do not know where her body is or where her plane is. She also still inspires people to set out for their dreams just like she did.
A. The Spanish Flu impacted our nation because it was the deadliest sickness in history. It killed 675,000 Americans. In 1918 the average life expectancy of an American dropped by 12 years. Last, it killed more U.S soldiers then the amount of U.S soldiers that died in World War 1. Because of this pandemic, Scientists made vaccines to prevent and control future pandemics. B. The Spanish Flu has impacted me because I like to hear amount catastrophic events. The Spanish Flu really makes me think about life to this day, and it makes me wonder if it could happen again. C. The Spanish Flu is connected to present day because we now have more vaccines so that this catastrophic event hopefully will not happen again.
A. The Great Train Robbery impacted America because it was the first silent film ever. After this pivotal moment, many more movies came out, which changed entertainment forever. B. The Great Train Robbery has impacted me because I like to see how things have developed over time, and it's cool to see how the movies started as a silent film and slowly progressed to become more advance. C. The Great Train Robbery connects to present day because we still have movies now in the 21st century, but they have a lot better quality now we can have sound with the movies. Not only can we have sound with movies, but we can also make movies in 3D.
A. The Kodak Brownie Camera impacted America because it was the first camera that was accessible to the public. It was also very cheap, making it very affordable for people. It also was the first camera to not only capture big events, but since it was affordable to the public it was able to capture little everyday events. This forever changed how the camera was used, instead of just being a rarity, it became an everyday object from then on. B. The Kodak Brownie Camera has impacted me because I like to take pictures a lot, but without the invention of the Kodak Brownie Camera, cameras might not of been accessible to the public, meaning that I would not have the joy of taking everyday picture. C. The Kodak Brownie Camera is connected to the present day because still to this day the everyday person is able to purchase a camera and take pictures of everyday events.
A. The Titanic impacted America because it was the biggest boat from its time, but it is mostly remembered for its crash and the death of 1,517 people. This devastating event only happened because it lacked safety features. Because the boat's crash, now boats are required to have certain safety features. B. The Titanic has impacted me as a person because when I first heard about the titanic I was terrified to ever go on a boat again. However, when I heard that the the death rate was only high because it lacked safety equipment, it put me made me feel better about going on a boat. Since I've first heard about the titanic it makes me make sure that every boat I go has proper safety equipment. C. The titanic is connected to the present day because there are still big boats, but because of the catastrophic event, these big boats now have the proper safety equipment and proper amount of safety equipment.
A. The Baby Boom Generation impacted America because it greatly increased the population in America. With the Baby Boom business and institution drastically increased because there was more of a demand with the drastic increase in population. It also helped to smoothed the transition between the wartime economy to the peacetime economy. B. The Baby Boom does not impact me directly, but some people in my family were a part of the baby boom. Because some of my relatives were apart of the baby boom, I wanted to learn more about it. C. The Baby Boom is related to the present day because a lot of the baby boomers are still alive and apart of our society.
A. The Oxford Dictionary impacted the U.S because it was the first place where all of the english words were and were correctly defined. B. The Oxford Dictionary has impacted me because I use it a lot when I am reading and just in my everyday life to make sure I know every word that I come across. C. The Oxford dictionary is connected to present day because the Oxford is still used to this day to teach people the definition of words they do not know.
A. Mickey Mouse impacted the nation because it was a source of entertainment and one of the first cartoons. Mickey Mouse was also the first cartoon to have people voicing the characters instead of just music in the background; however, the voices were not added until the 3rd episode. B. Mickey Mouse impacts me because as a child this was my favorite T.V show, and I watched all of the original episodes with my grandparents. I feel that it is really cool that my favorite childhood T.V show was actually a semi- significant part of history. C. Mickey Mouse is connected to the present day because variations of Mickey Mouse were aired all the way until 2016, even after they stopped airing, kids and adults still to this day know and love Mickey Mouse.
