The FBI and Best Buy work to find child pornography. The section of Geek Squad has been paid by the FBI to make them aware that a person has child pornography. The problem many people have with this that even though people give consent to Geek Squad, they are selling out information to the authorities without them even getting a warrant. Tom Jackman has taken liberal approaches before and he believe that this is an violation of the fourth amendment because the police are checking through peoples computers without their consent and a warrant. The article does a good job explaining the problem that is effecting the fourth amendment. Tom Jackman also does a good job stating his opinion and arguing his reasons for the reason he believes a certain thing.
The death of Alton Sterling brought anger to many Americans because of an unfair killing to an African-American man. The Court case was to decide if the police officer who murdered Sterling was breaking any constitutional right. The court case finally decided that the police had a reason for believing he was reaching for his gun. Ultimately the court could not say that the death was willing and that it did not harm any constitutional right. The problem many liberals had was that it seemed that the death of Sterling was because of race and not because they had belief he has a gun. Many conservatives believed that the officer had not committed a crime because of "rightful belief" that he would use a weapon. The problem the article had was not clearly putting stand point on both side of the arguments, however the article was able to clearly state the problem at hand. The article did a solid job trying to explain the anger of multiple people for the court case.
D.C. police have decided in court that to track a person with the ¨Stingray Device¨ you must get a warrant to find them because the phone has personal information and therefore is considered property. The debate many conservatives have are that phones should not require a warrant when they are stolen because it can find a criminal faster. Liberals, however, believe that it shouldn't be used because the technology can be used by any police officer for the wrong reason, and it can create future problems. It can be seen that liberals believe that this can create problems because of how police can misuse the device. However the source states no problems that can come from the device, the source wants the people reading to decide what can come from the device. The source does a good job explaining why they agree with the court decision, they believe that using a phone tracker can invade privacy because a police officer can follow property of a person.
