This is an article from CNN about how the solar eclipse may affect animal behavior. Even though there is still more evidence to collect about animal behavior during eclipses, many zoos are preparing and even encouraging visitors to come and view the animals during the local eclipse time! A must read article!
This is an important website for everyone. When learning about an eclipse, it's important to know specific vocabulary terms. Although there are some words on here that I don't think you will need to know as 8th graders, there are some specifics. I would highly encourage you (or anyone!) to view this website first before viewing any other links pertaining to eclipses!
The Eclipse Megamovie project is a great link for those who want to know what the eclipse will look like from a particular location. Since not everyone lies within the "path of totality", this website will show many of us how much of the eclipse can be seen just by simply entering our city and state! I would highly encourage everyone to use this sight prior to August 21, 2017.
