This is a primary source from the 1930s and he was alive during that time to paint it because he died at the year of 1979. He painted a lot of paintings all on the same topic, how he feels.
This is a primary source because it was a first hand picture someone was there and took the picture, I know this is a real picture because it is black and white. No color is how the movies and pictures were then, and the movies would´t have music or be able to capture the voices of people and the action.

Ronald tried to be a Bimbo and a Big Cheese in Maryś life by making a good impression in sports. But really he was all wet trying to play baseball with all the other guys. Instead he looked like a Gatecrasher that didn't have to pay admission to play any sports. Movies back then were black and white and were not able to capture sound so at the theater people would play brass instruments to go along with the movie. The difference between clips back then and the ones now are way different because now all movies have a lot of action and sound effects that goes with it.
This is a map of The Great Migration where black people moved to the north and some moved to the West too after they got freed. The black people moved north during the war when most of the white men were off fighting, it was very smart now they can take the jobs of people fighting in the war. Everyone wanted to go to the main drag where everyone was at. Back then black people lived in the south and white people lived in the north. But now all different races live in the United States where ever they want and can move when they want.
This secondary source is about making music and arts, that people of color made. Everyone liked the music they made and played it was very jazzy and up beat. The music was made with mostly brass instruments, later on the black musicians merged with the white musicians and created bands.
