Arthur Radley is first in my list because i can relate to how he feels. Every one in maycomb believe he is a monster, but he just lives in fear like many others around the world. He lives alone and is a complete recluse but still tries to reach humanity. Even when he tries to help people they still see him as an outsider. At the same time if boo is really bad then why would he save the children, or did he?
I put snape as my number two because throughout all of the harry potter books he is posted as the creepy child bully. the real snape, well he really is a douche bag but has good intentions. he just wants to be loved and to be apart of something special, but we all do a some point. he even saves harry but it was the need for love from lily. snape is just a lost soul waiting for the light to break his dark chains. He could also be just a bad guy because i mean he did blow of George weasly's ear.
Nick carraway is a character and the narrator of the great Gatsby. He is misunderstood by himself and the readers which in return distorts the character. He focuses so much on Gatsby that we don't really get the full story for him. most people even forget that in the beginning he had sex with a man. I put nick at third because anyone who can put themselves in the background of their own narrative has got to be misunderstood, majorly.
Quasimodo should be on everyone misunderstood list. anyone who was born with a condition or was diagnosed with disease was handed the shortest stick in the pile. I can relate to him because he's different and so am i in my own way. I also believe that he was only feared because mankind fears the unknown and at the time they knew nothing of his disorder to the full extent. He will forever be on my list of misunderstood, my band of misfits.
Frankenstein is number 5 because in real life he is always mistook en for the doctor/mad scientist Frankenstein but no his real name is Adam. many people should relate to that being called someone you hate. he never wanted to be pieced together and brought to life. that is just the straw he was dealt and now everyone hates him because he is unknown of his horror. all he really wanted was the affection of love but could never get that, not for real anyway.
The wicked witch Ephalba is very simple actually, she's mean and wants to put an end to Dorothy and the whole party. There is also a complex side to the story. when Dorothy showed up she did kill Ephalbas' sister. Dorothy also stole her families property. so i believe anyone can empathize with her story. this is why she is number 6.
Dragons are are probably the most misunderstood mythical creatures ever. In almost every story the dragon is the bad fire breathing human killer and always keeps the princesses to itself. Dragon are just protecting and doing their nature given right. even when princesses are locked in towers and a dragon is guarding that tower, did anyone think that maybe the dragon had laid eggs or what about the person that locked the princess in the tower? I believe dragons are just interpreted the wrong way, I mean not all dragons can be bad... right?
