A new study published in the journal, Nature, explored the relationship between Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and brain function in old age. According to this study, the intermittent deprivation of oxygen resulting from OSA can lead to dementia as well as accelerated formation of amyloid plaque in the brain, a cause of Alzheimer's Disease.
