I like to travel. Okay, I love to travel. BOY, do I LOVE to travel. Click here to see one of the places I've been...so far. Afghanistan has been a crossroads of civilizations for millennium. From Darius the Great to Alexander the Great, Marco Polo to the British to the Russians, all have helped Afghanistan become known as the Graveyard of Empires.
I love sea kayaking. Click to check out some kayaking trips that YOU can do!
As an English teacher, I'd better love books! Luckily, I do. Peruse here to see my very favorites...so far.
I love all kinds of music: pop, jazz, classical, even some rap, believe it or not! This summer, it was the Italian composer Puccini, especially after hearing his work performed in a medieval church in Tuscany—the church had crypts, skulls, a high tower you could climb to the top of, and Renaissance frescos, and the best thing: archaeologists have been excavating under the church floor, and you can walk down and stroll through ancient (now underground) Roman streets! Click to hear the opera singer Kiri te Kanawa sing the aria "O mio babbino caro" from the Puccini opera "Gianni Schicchi."
