Abortion is just as bad as killing any adult or child. Destroying life isn't what makes it wrong, it's wrong because when you kill a fetus, you are removing its potential for a future of value and removing somebody from the world who could make a significant change to make our world a better place.
Why do pro-life conservatives value a fetus in the womb so much if they don't take any action to ensure that the parents and the babies have a good start by also valuing healthcare, paid maternity leave, and parental education? This hypocrisy shows that many don't actually value the child as much as they say.
Government officials deny abortions to people who need it while also cutting off healthcare to children and their parents. They show hypocrisy by being so against abortion yet they seek out abortions for themselves, their wives or mistresses.
Forcing someone to have a baby violates the constitution. This resembles the Chinese law, forcing women to get abortions, but it's the opposite here- forcing women to give birth. The issue isn't whether pregnant women should or shouldn't get an abortion, it's who should decide.
Donna Quinn is a Catholic nun who supports the right of women to choose what they want to do. She used to volunteer in an abortion clinic where people would gather outside and scream and yell, calling them murderers. Since then, she has stopped working there but she still stands strong on her position and continues to support women's issues and speaks out against people who deny women their rights.
Mary E. Hunt (author) talks to Donna Quinn, a Catholic nun who is also a women's rights activist and an author, about the past of women who follow the Catholic faith and how it's quickly disappearing due to their limited acknowledgement. For many years, Donna was discouraged and jeopardized for volunteering in a local abortion clinic. Her book, "Chicago Catholic Women: Its Role in Founding the Catholic Women's Movement" addresses the exclusivity in the Catholic Church.
