Help us demonstrate that quality on the Internet trumps all. The mission of the Trust & Safety Ad Traffic Quality team is to deliver the world’s cleanest and most trusted ads ecosystem. We do this by maintaining a policy compliant partner network and preventing invalid traffic (such as click, impression, and conversion fraud). You will be solving complex problems across large data sets, bringing your analytical skills together with the power of Google’s technology to find non-compliant/invalid activity occurring on Google’s ad products and ensuring that advertisers are not charged for fraud. You will also work with product and engineering teams to make sure that new products and features provide a good, safe experience for users and advertisers. The Trust and Safety team reduces risk and protects the experience of our users and business partners in more than 40 languages and across Google's expanding base of products. We work with a variety of teams from Engineering to Legal, Public Policy and Sales Engineering to set policies and combat fraud and abuse in a scalable way, often with an eye to finding industry-wide solutions. Trust and Safety team members are motivated to find innovative solutions, and use technical know-how, user insights and proactive communication to pursue the highest possible quality and safety standards for users across Google products. Responsibilities Analyze traffic/policy trends and identify new filters and flags to spot abuse. Work directly with other members of your team to prevent complex abuse issues. Enhance our operational workflows via process improvements. Identify and develop solutions for scalable enforcement on non-compliant publisher inventory. Present a unified enforcement experience to external publishers, and support internal sales team in their queries on cases that have affected the publishers in their sales portfolios. Conduct complex data analyses and identifying opportunities/sources for new signals, automation, and workflow improvements, then driving the utilization of these new signals to completion. Proactively identify automation and efficiency opportunities. Drive solutions through analysis and/or cross-functional partnership. Regularly mentor and provide guidance to team members. Lead cross-functional projects with Product, Engineering and other enforcement teams within T&S organization. in order to push for policy changes and close possible product flaws that make Google products susceptible for abuse. Manage project through the full lifecycle. Manage responsibilities effectively across multiple product areas. Qualifications Minimum qualifications: BA/BS degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of related work experience. Preferred qualifications: Expert in fraud investigations, fraud risk management, Internet advertising, or e-commerce. Advanced knowledge of querying languages (MySQL, Dremel, etc.) and database structures. Experience with coding and scripting (Python, C++, Java). Solid understanding of how the Internet works economically, socially, and technically. Interest in innovation, technology and Google products. Develop expertise in multiple product areas and simultaneously balance workload across both. Strong mentorship skills. Ability to work independently and complete projects from beginning to end and in a timely manner. Ability to navigate and influence cross-team stakeholders. Strong leadership skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly communicate technical concepts with multiple cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders.
