One interesting fact about me is that I was born in Okinawa Japan. I was born in one of the military bases that my dad was stationed at and lived there until I was 5. I am able to speak and read some Japanese but am not completely fluent. One of the reasons why I am able to still speak Japanese is because my family frequently travels to Japan to visit my moms side of the family. I enjoy going and visiting my family and also like to learn more about my own culture.
Although I am still undecided on what college is right for me, Texas A&M is one of my top 4 colleges. The other 3 colleges I have picked are, Tarleton, Corpus Christi A&M and MCC. I have pondered about the idea of going to MCC to get my basics and then transferring to a university but I am still in the process of making a decision. Hopefully my senior year doesn't fly by as fast as everyone says it will.
The type of novels I like to read about are dystopian societies and mysteries. Some of my favorite novels are The Giver, The Thinning and the Divergent series. Since books are accessible online I rather read the digital copy on my phone rather than dragging a book everywhere I go. Another reason why I like digital copies better is because when I am unfamiliar with a word it is easier to search the definition when reading a digital book.
My favorite type of food to eat is Tex-Mex. Restaurants I enjoy going to is Chuy's, On The Boarder, and Fuego. My all time favorite Tex-Mex is chicken quesadillas, preferably from Cotton Patch. Although Tex-Mex is my favorite type of food my favorite food overall is chicken tenders and that is because no matter where you go, chicken tenders are usually good. If there not then everything else in the restaurant probably tastes bad.
What I would like to go to college for is medical sonography. Medical sonographers use sound to see moving images of the human body and sonographers are trained to select images that are helpful for a physician to analyze for a diagnosis. An area I would like to specialize in is ultrasound technician and the reason I chose this career is because I would be able to have patient interaction without being a doctor or a nurse and it is a career where I am not constantly stuck behind a desk.
