Every year around 26 MILLION animals in the US are being used for medical devices and commercial testing says the human society of the US. It is cruel and inhuman and the HSUS (Human Society Of The US) found 338+ possible violations of the animal welfare act (Animal Welfare Act: is defined as protecting "any live or dead dog, cat, monkey, rabbit and many other animals.")
LUSH, the cosmetics stores, is also on the side for fighting for animals and the Animal Welfare Act. The owner of LUSH said, "we have been passionately fighting animal testing even before LUSH was an idea." LUSH doesn't not use animals to test their products because they believe "there are alternatives."

The university of Utah was going to their local adoption center and purchasing dogs and cats, the animals thinking they will be going to a happy health home, incorrect. They were buying dogs and cats and many other animals to run taunting, painful, invasive tests on them. PETA a campaign to end animal testing eventually ended these tests and sent the dogs to happier much healthier environments.
