song Summary and Reflection: The son start off with a radio piece from september 11,2001. The guy on the radio is talking about terrorism and that the government will hunt down the people who are responsible for the attack. Than there is another guy describing what just happened to one of the towers and it is a life changing event.than the music begins with just piano. The tone of the song is a slow, deep, sad feeling. The first few lyrics are about switching through channel and seeing a burning city. There are smoke and fire and that it was a plane that hit the towers. The attached is believed to be faith inspired. No one knew that this was going to happen.it was a complete surprise. The question is who will be coming home?did anyone survive?who died?everyone is looking at the sky and the towers are falling and heroes are dying. The question is now,who will do such thing? Praise the people who scarified themself to save lives. I am not a big fan of the music genre ,which is metal,I like the way they describes what happened on september 11.I liked that they added a piece of radio about the attack in th3 beginning of the song. It gives the listener a summary of what is about to happen. Not only does the music describes what happened but it also ask some question such as who is responsible and why would they do it.The song brought back some of the important detail like he reason they attack the tower. The song made me remember that it is believed did it in they name of their God. There is also believe that it was payback for all the lives the US took from their people. Something that I did not like about the song is that there was a super long break. It was only the instruments play for about a good 3 minutes or more. I wanted to hear more about the attack on 9/11 not the instruments. Overall I believe that the group did an amazing job writing and composing a song about an event that is still very recent.I like the song because it’s about something that shall not be forgotten. poem Summary and Reflection: On the 11 of september. A plane crashed the world trade center. Than a few minutes later the second building was hit. At first the people thought it was an accident but when the second plane hit the crash is no longer an accident. This attack is the worst so far out of all the attacks it has faced. Lot of people were in fear.No one has an idea of what just happened or what will happen. Will the US go to war. President Bush said that the issue will be resolved. The peoples prayed for their friends, relative, father and mothers. The poem is a masterpiece in my opinion. There were multiple poem but I chose the first one because it did an amazing job rhyming the words and explaining what happened. Something I liked about the poem was that it mention president Bush and what he said about the attack. The only thing I didn’t like was that it is kinda short but if it were longer it might have been harder to rhyme some of the words. Something new that I learn from the poem was that it took 18 minutes for the second tower to be hit. A question that the author had that I like was, what will come next, war? There was no big war like count vs country but there was the war on terror. “9-11 September 11.” Scrapbook.com, www.scrapbook.com/poems/doc/18049.html.
documentary Summary: The documentary is about the passenger of flight 93 and the love ones they spoke too. It start of with the people do what they normally do. It start with the husband of a flight attendant describing his wife as a loving, carry, wonderful mother and a wonderful wife. She was the organizer. The flight is expected to leave 08.01 but is delayed. The next person that had connection to a passenger of the plane was Deena Burnett;wife of Tom Burnett. She describes her husband as a a intelligent spersonand a wonderful conversationalist, handsome, athletic, great faith in God and overall a perfect husband. There was Phil Bradshaw;husband of Sandy Bradshaw.they had a disagreement about going to work . once they are in the air around 09.27 the hijack begins in the first class cabin. later three men get up and take out red bandas and tie them over their head. They kill a passenger with a knife and head to the cockpit of the plane. The tower have already hit one of the towers. The people begin to call their love ones and tell them what is going on and that they love them. They eventually all come to an agreement to take control of the plane. They take control of the plane and then were never heard of again. I found the documentary very interesting and helpful. Although the documentary was a recreation of what happened, it feel real. I like that different people shared their personal story. Seeing the people get on the plane without knowing what will so happen made me feel sorry for them. There was a story about these couple debating whether one should work or not and In my head I was telling her not to go because of what will so happen. Watching the documentary made me feel sad. Multiple times when the were talking with their love one I wanted to cry. This was a real story not a movie. The way the people got together to take control of the plane was heartwarming. Different people who did not know each other working together to accomplish one goal. They are the definition of heros. I am not sure what I would have done if I was in that plane. The soucumetary did leave me whis some questions such as how did they know the time the hijacker took over the plane. Huffpost capture the first responders in action saving and helping people. Most of the images are of firemen's covered in dust. The police men and firefighter are caring civilian to safety. There is also a image of a secret service agent carrying a injured women to safety. There is alo a image showing a firemen helping another fire who was inside the tower when it collapsed. The images were also taken by police officer who than later went in the tower and never came out. There is a picture of a firefighter sitting in the destruction covering his face. There is a image of a dog sleeping and bear him is a box of well earn treats for his hard work searching for trapped people. Opinion: the images are amazing. They capture the the terror that happened on september 11 2001. I like that they added a caption for each photo. I believe that the caption helps the image explain more of what is going on. They capture images of not just firefighter and policeman but other who went to help. There are images of a secret service man helping out. There is a image of a firefighter helping other firefighter. There was an image that capture my eyes. It was about a dog who was sleeping after a long day searching for peoples. This image was very powerful to me because it shows how loyal and dedicated this dog is. This is why I like dog and not cats. I think that they could have capture more images of the inside of the towers. (Opinion Article): September 11 was a historic turning point The opinion article is on the 9/11 attack and how it was a turning point for the US.the article gives some examples of events that happened but were not big events to be called a historic turning point. Examples such as the berlin wall. The fall of the berlin wall was more of a historic event for europe than the U.S. There is also the end of the cold war and World War II. NATO was created to keep peace but it was useless. No peace agreement could be made between the Israelis and Palestinians. There was also the attack on Pearl harbor but that only made Americans more unsettled. When twin tower were hit the US head off a global recession. The reason 9/11 was a historic turning point was because it affect a lot of people not just America but also Europe and japan.Although the US market did not collapse at that moment. The attack force America to take out and spend more money. The attack was not on the military it was an attack on the economy.Obama withdrew some soldier in Afghanistan and completely pulled them out of Iraq. No matter what was done the debt got even greater. In my opinion I don’t think that 9/11 was the historic turning point. I believe that when the US won its independence was the historic turning point. Not just for america but for the entire world. I do agree that 9/11 was a turning point. It did make americans more alert that events attacks su as that of 9/11 are possible and that no matter how power your countries military is there are those who will challenge it. The reason I believe that the declaration of independence was the historic turning point is because it showed England and the world that anything is possible. Once the US won it inspired other to fight for their independence. There were some changes that were the result of the attack. Changes such as stricter airports. I heard that there are now agent aboard planes in case there is another hijacking. The US is more alert and how protocols incase another event like 9/11 happened. I still found the article interesting but I think it could have used more examples of why it was the historic turning point. Summary The article is describes the tragic event that happened on september 11 2001 when the two world trade centers were hit by two planes. The floor trembled, windows cracked and a hole filled with fire and than the same thing happened with the second tower. There were people jumping of the building covered in flames. Than the tower became nothing. The towers crumbled to the ground and a big cloud of dust followed. There were multiple sounds of alarm all over the place. The people did not to go so they went in every direction. There were some warnings that something was not right. There were some warning about the attack su as the plane flying to low to the ground but no one knew at the moment why. At the moment of the attack the people did not know if the plane was a friendly or a enemy. A dark cloud cover the sky People began to jump out of the building. Many people had no idea what was going on. Everyone ran in all direction to escape the darkness . Reflection. The article did a wonderful job explaining what happened on 9/11. The article did not have any images but the way it described the event such as the dust was amazing. You could picture how it was when tower collapsed and cover the city in smoke. The article left out some pieces of information that I thought was but then again the article was published the day after the attack. Pieces such as who is responsible and why did they do it. What was their objective? The stories about what the peoples were doing before and during painted a better picture in my head and it made the article more powerful. There was this story about Anne Prosser and how she was a story below the place where the plane hit.Seeing what the people were doing before the disaster gave the article more suspence and more encouraging to read. The article did a great job telling the reader what happened. At the moment there was not know about the attack but the article explained what happened like they knew everything.
