Positions in basketball There are many different positions in basketball. The positions are center, forward, and a guard. With the positions in basketball there are things on offense you do and things on defense you do, if you play center on offense you, are supposed to help and make sure the other team does not set a screen. The center also needs to help get rebounds and shoot to make points for their team. On defense it is different though, they are supposed to get rebounds and block the other team from getting shots. If you are positioned as a forward then your job on offense is to drive for shots, get open for shots and make shots on the outside. On defense they are to stop the other team from driving and help the center on their team get the rebound. The last position is guard, as a guard on offence, you need to be good at dribbling because you are the main person to dribble down the court. You will also need to be able to shoot from perimeter. On defense it is your job to steel the passes and to box-out. That is the positions and how you play them in basketball.
How you can prevent injuries in basketball There are many different ways to prevent injuries in basketball. One of the ways is to where shoes that fit on your feet good and are not too slick also they should be high tops so it is not easy to role your ankle. Use a mouth guard, this will help because if you get hit in the mouth it will keep your teeth from cutting you lip. Warm up/stretch, this helps because if you don’t it is bad for your body and can also cause you to hurt yourself because you went from not active to very active. Do not wear jewelry, if you have a neckless on it can choke and other jewelry can get caught on stuff. It can also brake. Play on a dry surface so you don’t slip and fall. If you do happen to get hurt take the time you need to heal so you don’t make it worse.

If this happens to you, you can help heal it by bracing it or ice and sometimes it can lead to surgery. How do you get stress fractures- You can get this by over training in a sport or a high increase in the activity level? To heal this, you need to rest till the fracture is better and to keep from getting it back you must not over work yourself.
