This is a short story by Anurag. It is about frogs racing up a tower. People kept saying the tower is too tall, that they will never make it. Some of the frogs started to fall. Some of them kept pushing but soon fell. Then there was one frog left and he won the race. The reason he won was because he was deaf and didn't listen to those people. The connects to my theme because the frog believed in his-self and also because he was deaf. We have to not pay attention to what other people say, but what we say to ourselves. People will pull you down, but if you believe in yourself, you can make farther than they can.
This is a poem by Sagar Satpathy, and it is a poem to help people to start believing in themselves. It tells you that you can achieve anything if you believe. This goes with the theme I chose because the theme of it is, believe in yourself. Some lines from this poem say, "Believe in yourself and you can reach New heights that you thought immeasurable." This line tells us that if we believe in ourselves we can new places that we would not have gotten there without believing in ourselves.
This is a short story didn't give me an author, but it talks about a General who talks about fate and believing in yourself. An officer said that fate was already decided for them by the gods. The General took a coin out and said something about flipping a coin and if was heads they would win and if it was tails they would lose. He flipped and it was heads. Everyone was enthusiastic and very confident. After the battle, the same officer said do you believe in fate now. The general said no, I believe in self-confidence. That he tricked them all in to believing in themselves. This connects with my theme because the people believed that they could win because "Fate" was for them. But in reality, they just believed in themselves.
This is a quote by Nikos Kazantzakis. It just says "In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can." Which just means we need to believe in ourselves to succeed. This goes along with my theme because it tells us that we need to believe in ourselves. If we do believe in ourselves we can and will succeed.
This is a speech by Ashley Zahabian, and she talks about believing in yourself to succeed. She said if we stop now we will never achieve what we could if we kept on fighting and trying. She said that everyone could use some hope to get to the top. This speech follows my theme because she talks about how we should believe in ourselves. She kept talking about the ability to make it, only if we believed in ourselves. She said in the article, "Most people are bloated with ordinary thoughts and mindsets. They’re so full of average that they have no more appetite." What this means is that we should try to exceed this, to succeed in life. Nothing will make succeed except yourself.
This article by Matt Mayberry talks about confidence and believing in yourself. He mainly says that everyone who has succeeded believed in themselves. That to succeed we need to believe in our selves and keep trying. It says that how famous people kept trying until they eventually got what they wanted. This article goes with my them because it talks about believing in yourself to succeed. In the article, by Matt Mayberry, it says, "As human beings, we naturally have the tendency to get stuck on the negative and think about all of our losses for the day, instead of counting our wins and finding all of the good that took place." So this tells us that if we focus on our failures we won't get anywhere, but if we focus on our successes we eventually succeed.
