The book is about a boy named Junior, who grows up and lives on the Indian Reservoir with his family. He has a condition known as "water on the brain" which makes his head look bigger and eventually decides to go to a new school. The reason I put this book on my list is because it is an interesting story about someone trying to fit in a new school and being cool. It really just follows him trying to be a relevant person at his school and wants to be popular just like a lot of other people. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to our class. (Illustrator), Sherman Alexie Ellen Forney. "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian." Goodreads. This book is about a Jewish boy named Yanek Gruener who is captured and sent to a prison camp during World War 2. He is constantly moving from one concentration camp to another, all of them evil and nightmarish. The reason I put this book on my list is because it really represents the perspective of a Jew in WW2, with the torture at concentration camps, nearly escaping death, and many more. This book really puts the reader in the eyes of Yanek in the concentration camps and his painful life in them. Overall, I really enjoyed this book because it really captures how Jews were treated in WW2. Gratz, Alan. "Prisoner B-3087." Goodreads. Scholastic Inc., 1 Mar. 2013. Web. 24 May 2017.
