"Sponsored by RQ Innovasion Inc." Amazon.com: room. N.p., n.d. Web. 23 May 2017. Room is a book about a mom and a son getting locked in a room and held captive. The mom was abducted by a stranger. Jack, the son, was born in there and spent his whole life in there. Then soon they escape and get to live life in a normal life. This book made it to my list because the author did such a great job of imagery and just being descriptive. I really liked the detail of when the kid went in the closet because it was so relatable. I really felt as if I was in the room with jack and mom.
Robot Check. N.p., n.d. Web. 23 May 2017. In the book Everything Everything, Madeline suffers from a rare disease called SCID. She calls it bubble baby disease because she lives in a bubble and she’s not allowed to leave her house. The only people she talks to is her mom and her nurse. Then, everything changes when she sees her new neighbor, Olly, for the first time. All of a sudden, she texts and emails him and even writes on there windows w markers. This book mad it on my list because it is my all time favorite genre. I really enjoy reading books that are both realistic fiction and romance but are also very descriptive because I have a hard time comprehending. Overall, I really liked this book and I hope to watch the movie that just came out.
"First in series." Amazon.com: crank. N.p., n.d. Web. 23 May 2017. Crank is about a teenage girl who becomes addicted to crank, a form of methamphetamine. She feeds her addiction and deal with the consequences of the bad decisions that she has made. Then, Kristina learns that she is pregnant by a man who raped her. Kristina meets her first boyfriend, Adam. It is during this time that Kristina gives herself a new name. She went by Bree she did this to show essence of herself. She deep down is a good girl, but Bree is a bad girl. Bree flirts with boys and wants to experience the wild side of life, and does drugs. I chose this book to put in here because most of the books are kind of on a lighter note but this book really shows you the other perspective of things and really shows you how things are. People do this and we have to learn. It's funny because I was talking to my parents about this book because it ultimately is telling you why drugs are bad and what they do to you. They told me to never read a book like that and that I am much to smart to pick up a book like this. But I am glad I did, because now I know there truly is another side to this world and drugs can really mess you up.
Amazon . N.p., n.d. Web. 23 May 2017. Thirty- Five girls compete to get one man, Prince Maxon. All the other girls really want him but America, the main girl, was forced to go there because her family really needed the money. She was having a panic attack so she sprinted out to the back door where she ran into Maxon she told him she didn't want to be there so he got jealous. The whole week he just wanted her and he kept pulling her aside. At the end, she gains feelings for him and they end up living together. I chose this book as one of my top favorites because I have never stayed up late reading a book, never took time out of something to read, and I have never really been addicted to a book. This is the only that I have ever wanted to get off my phone and read. This book was so amazing I have never read something this fantastic.
"Sponsored." Amazon.com: Pie. N.p., n.d. Web. 23 May 2017. Alice’s Aunt Polly is extremely talented at making pie and has the entire city in love with her pies. When she dies, everyone wants the chance to win the Blueberry Award, a pie competition, for the best pie now that their competition is gone. Her own family is surprised when, instead of leaving them her prize-winning pie crust recipe, Polly has left them her cat who is the only one alive with the secret. Alice gets so confused over the mystery of how the cat, Lardo, knows the secret until someone else decides to find out the secret and kidnapped the cat, Lardo. I chose this book because it is the very first book I read this year and for sure one to remember. It really did make me hungry for pie and I really liked the description the author included. The last reason I really liked this book was because it included recipes for the book and I really liked this because my craving for pie was so bad that I actually made the pie and it tasted exactly how they made it sound.
