Moreover, The Book Gallery will no longer accept donations or do trades. Speaking with the Canadian Gazette on Feb. 2, general manager Steve Hamilton noted The Book Gallery simply could not survive the popularity of e-readers or e-commerce. “You cannot fight technology,” he said. There was a time when the store did really well; however, over the last five or six years sales have steadily declined.
