Fresh analysis by real estate and tourism consultant Resonance has both good and bad news for Toronto’s hopes of landing the Amazon’s second headquarters.
Owen Sound's Heritage Place mall is for sale, touted as a redeveloped mall with "upside". The listing for the shopping centre, found online at JLL.ca, includes a downloadable brochure which describes the mall as newly redeveloped, with excess land located in the heart of a strong retail node. The 31-year-old mall is being offered unpriced. No listing date is given, but mall manager Michelle Schleimer said in an interview she understands it was listed in the last week or two. JLL describes itself as a financial and professional services firm specializing in commercial real estate services and investment management. Its National Retail Investment Group and TD Securities are arranging the sale.
A Fortinos storage building in Hamilton, ON, was severely damaged in a fire last week. The fire broke out in a building used for food storage and processing and caused $225,000 in damage. Heavy cardboard stored on site fueled the blaze.: Grocery Business Magazine
