A high bar has been set for Toronto’s new wave of food halls with Assembly Chef’s Hall and Campo Food Hall
Work has begun on converting 43,000 vacant square feet in Saint John's largest shopping mall into a Marshalls store that's scheduled to open in the fall of 2018.
The Salvation Army in Sydney, N.S., has used part of a million-dollar bequest to buy a new building for its thrift store operation. "It's just going to be so nice to be able to walk in the door and not have to turn sideways because of the lack of space," said Nicole MacLean, the organizations' community ministries co-ordinator. "We're going to have so much room."
756 Warden Avenue, north of Warden Station on the Bloor-Danforth line, may see development of new commercial and recreational buildings. A rezoning application submitted to the City of Toronto by Bousfields on behalf of Superview International Inc outlines plans for redevelopment of the 2.43 hectare site which currently sits vacant. SRN Architects have designed a 2-storey retail and commercial building on the corner of Warden Avenue and Comstock Road, while a new recreational facility would occupy the southern portion of the site.
