This is the very first Eric Thomas video I've ever watch, it was when I first started playing basketball in ninth grade. This video, the message that he was try to get through hit me in a personal spot because I felt as though if you push your self to exuastion in any field weirder it's sports, or school you can succeed.
Russel WestBrook is my favorite NBA Player because of his tenacity of the game. He comes out every game and gives it his all, day in and day out. Westbrook is like telling a pit bull to act like a Chihuahua, it's not happening!
This is one of my favorite songs. J.Cole is saying that you shouldn't take the hard times and your love ones for granted. You can't compare your level of success to everyone else because "there's no such thing as a life that's better than yours." You won't truly be happy until you "Love yourz." "It's beauty in the Struggle and ugliness in the success."
I come from SouthEast D.C where not to many people make it to see another day, one wrong turn and BAAM! Game over. I wanna be able to make money doing what I love most and coming back to the community to help the youth become better than what we are now because while I am growing up in these harsh condition I notice a similar pattern that a lot black youth is falling to. These are what makes me who I am, I will never forget where I came from no matter how successful I Make. " Always thought you had to look out for number one, well what good is number one without any other numbers."
I wasn't born with my dad in my life like most people in this world. Every year I always wonder why he wasn't around but it got to a point where I started thinking if he's not going to be here for me then I can't spend the rest of my life waiting for my man to come.
