The short story 'The Lady Or The Tiger' by Frank Stockton is a perfect example of choice and consequences. The story is about a semi-barbaric king who has an arena for serving justice to those who commit crimes against the kingdom. In that arena, an incorruptible and impartial judge, chance, determines how the accused is convicted. They are either rewarded with a bride or eaten by a tiger. The accused is totally up to their own choice in this story with no one to help make the decision to either be attacked by the tiger or married to the bride. This shows how small decisions can have huge consequences.
