Cape Town, South Africa is running out of water. Everyone in this area is at stake and will eventually affect them. A woman in East London went onto social media to share with the world what we take for granted, water. This woman read the article online while she was feeding her baby some formula and thought, to make formula you need water, these families will not be able to feed their children, this is when she started her funding. She shared with her followers that she would like people to donate 5-gallon jugs of water to certain pick-up locations throughout the city. Many people have shared this now and are all reaching out to help this community in need. It was stated in the article that "Day Zero" will likely be around mid-April, the day when the city is forced to shut off taps to homes and businesses because the water sources are so low. The city is placing "Emergency Water Stations" around the town at popular gathering spots such as the grocery store. Revisions have been made in the allowable use of water from 50 liters per day to just 25 liters which is about the same amount of water that you use in a 4-minute shower.
