The Nazi identified them selves as the master race and would think that they are better then every one. The master race also referred to them selves as the Aryans. Through their identity they would think that they had the rights to do anything.
Jewish people were thrown into concentration camps for being Jewish. Neighbors would sometimes rat out the Jewish people for a reward or from fear. And people who were harboring Jewish people would also be thrown into camps if they were caught harboring a Jewish person.
Newspapers were greatly used by the Nazi Party to spread the party line. Newspapers were commonly purchased in an era that pre-dated television and along with the cinema and radio was the primary mode. They would post who was winning the war and bounty.
