The article describes 6 signs that alien life could exist. 1. There are too many stars and planets. We have over 1 trillion planets in the Milky Way alone. "If we are the only intelligent beings in the galaxy, or for that matter in the universe, then we are truly a miracle. 2. There are a lot of planets with water Liquid water is very common in our Solar System, which is a key ingredient for life. There must be life somewhere. 3. Life thrives in extreme conditions There is life everywhere. In the bottom of the ocean, the deepest darkest caves. On a gas giant, there is microbes. 4. We have heard waves from space. Sound might not travel in space, but we have heard numerous signals from planets that are lightyears away. Maybe aliens have found a way to make sound travel through space. 5. "Evidence" Yeah, Yeah. Cliche, I know. People have claimed to see UFO's, aliens, debris, etc. since 1639. Who knows, maybe there is life.
Aliens look humanoid because we didn't have good enough special effects in the 1950's. They looked humanoid in the 1900's so we adapted it in the 2000's and we never really look out of trying to make them look different.
Alien life has always been a fascination to people since we had the thought that they could exist. Since we found an Earth-like planet in our backyard. Every since the Kepler Mission, we have found over 40 planets that could possibly hold life. We found a planet close to Centauri. It is a rocky planet that is slightly larger than Earth and could possibly hold liquid water. It is also 4.367 light years away. The technology we use today would take us over 80,000 years. Doesn't like we will be seeing any aliens here soon.
This article describes the first alien sighting. It describes that on March 1, 1639 John Winthrop had opened his diary and documented that he saw a great light in the night sky. "When it stood still, it flamed up, and was about three yards square. When it ran, it contracted into the figure of a swine. They described the light to have "ran as swift as an arrow." It was darting back and forth between Charlestown. Other people claimed to have seen the light as well. When the light faded away. They saw that they were one mile up river. They did not remember fighting the tide, although there could have been a sudden tidal change, or maybe they were carried by the wind. Some today would describe it as an alien abduction.
