In the fall of 2017, I will be going to University of Kentucky and I'm both scared and happy because I don't think I'm that ready for college and leaving some of my friends and family behind. About UK, I have loved watching their basketball team for a few years now, so in a few months actually being a part of their student section at games, I couldn't be any more excited. UK wasn't really my first option, but their dorm rooms look nice and their sports are really good, so I guess that makes it up.
I've been playing volleyball since 6th grade and it was an amazing experience where I met my teammates who are like my second family. I'll never forget getting hit in the face with a volleyball more from my own teammates than the other team. I'll also never forget me falling down stairs and tripping over my shoes, the spider that fell on Justice's head in my own car, bonding with my own team, and so much more that I can't fit onto this. I love them more than anything, and these memories will never leave me.
On May 15, 2017 at 12:28 p.m, Elma got her jacket stuck on the stairwell by the elevator. Sorry, *Nnamdi's jacket. Not only did she get stuck this time during senior year, she got stuck once last year when her sweater got caught on a guy's backpack and she was literally dragged out into the cafeteria. Obviously me being a good friend, I laughed. I hope sometime in the future I get to witness some more dragging that will lighten up my spirit like it normally does. I inspire to be like her one day.
All throughout this year, the tea never stopped. No matter what class we were in, what trip we went to, or place we ended up being in together, people were spilling tea left and right. The D.C trip and 6th period was the most lit when we all became shady in a circle and talked about gossip that circulated around the school. I'll never forget our tea time moments we all shared.
Many of my favorite songs were playing on the night of prom, but one of the songs that really made me dance was "Get Low". It was really funny seeing everyone come to the center of the dance floor in a big group and singing the main chorus really loud. This picture literally represents how we all looked like on that night.
