World Bank forecast warns if the Ebola epidemic isn't contained, economies in West Africa will be devastated and the impact will spread globally. So people have joined together in West Africa to take the instigative to make sure no further outbreak is coming and upping their safety to combat the virus. They have started projects to help the economy, but is ebola keeps spreading it will all be for nothing.
It is hard for small economic countries to support themselves as it is without being in the middle of a deadly virus outbreak. So other countries and organizations in the world like China and the UN are trying to help with the problem. The world bank and the listed parties above, along with others, have been given money to these small affected countries to help combat economic downfall and make sure the country does not fall in disrepair. The amount of money is not crazy, it is not billions of dollars, but since the countries are so small it only takes millions to help fix the problem. In light if the issue this is a fairly cheap cost to make sure people stay safe and do not die.
The ebola virus has been around for decades on Earth. It's history ebbs and flows with outbreaks and containments. It is a big threat not only for the world but for areas like African countries that are prone to disease due to their sanitary situations. Ebola also is a growing problem because of the virus's unique way at attacking the cells in a humans body and since it's ability to spread rapidly. Over the years and currently there is being extensive research, movies, and books written about the impacts and history of this virus. I believe that maybe one day there will be a vaccine for the virus but also that protection with funding could help prevent any more cases or outbreaks.
Three years on from an Ebola outbreak that killed more than 11,000 people, countries in West Africa are still struggling to deal with its effects. People who had ebola but survived no longer have jobs or social lives. Others fear that they could still infect them and so stay far away as possible to protect themselves. Also the previous crippling economy got worse after the ebola outbreak and causes it to be even worse. Foreign companies and investors are more hesitant to come to their country to bring business.
