Eisenhower placed military advisers and CIA operatives in Vietnam, and John F. Kennedy sent American soldiers to Vietnam. Despite the billions of dollars spent on the war and about 60,000 casualties, the United States failed to achieve its objective. The average age of the American soldier in Vietnam was nineteen. I dont think this is biased tbh.
North Vietnamese reflect on the conflict 40 years after the fall of Saigon. The people of vietnam were very confused on what was happening, the didn't understand why the Americans were invading there country. A man claims he saw a plane dropping what he thought was "baby air planes" but was actaully bombs, the civilians were very surprised and did not know what was happening. On the other hand this is biased because we don't know what was happening at these moments, all these people were vietnamese so they could be making it up or making it seem worse then what happened.
1 out of every 10 solders were killed or injured in this war. The United States lost 58K solders. Nixon ended up withdrawing the remaining troops because back in the U.S they didn't want to be at war. This video may be biased because an American may have made it
Movements and protests and U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War started to divide everyone in the united states. professors organized protests for students even though since they were student they couldn't be drafted but they wanted to fight for the country. The media was involved which introduced bias because they claimed nixon was bias so they may have screw up numbers to turn people against him
This image shows a lady hovering her hands over a dead body, assuming it was a child. Many inocent people lost there loved ones during the vietnam war. the people of vietnam were against what was happening but could not do anything to stop it. Just the same this is biased because for all we know this might not even be in vietnam, and we have no idea how this person died or who this lady is .
President Nixon had the United States split between going to war and not going to war. He ended up having a draft lottery causing men to flee the U.S and go to Canada. This was biased because Historian Yohuru Will was an American academic he wrote this page as he looked back at the protest so he could've made it sound worse or better than it actually is.
