European Faculty of Law from the crowd of more than 730 applications from all over Europe acquired the Jean Monnet Module, funded by the European Commission for a period of 3 years from 1. 9. 2016 to 31. 8. 2019. The purpose of the module, which is lead by Assoc. prof. dr. Marko Novak, Dean of the Faculty of Law, is to organize lectures, seminars, workshops and other events on the topic “The reasoning of the Court of the European Union as a model for argumentation Slovenian courts”.
Professor dr. Verica Trstenjak, a distinguished lecturer at European Faculty of Law, is a distinguished participant at the heart of regulation of the EU. in September 2016 she spoke at The University Sidney about what BREXIT means from an EU perspective.
The two-day conference was held between 18 and 19 November 2016 at the European Faculty of Law and the Graduate School of Government and European Studies in the beautiful surroundings of Ljubljana Old Town (Slovenia). The “Modern Legal Interpretation: Legalism or Beyond?”conference was a successful series of workshops and meetings designed to adress legal representatives, senior and junior researchers and Phd students with inspirational examples of institutional strategy development, as well as provide an understanding of the conditions for implementation and the context, measurement and assessment of impact. The conference was structured into several panels dedicated not only to legal argumentation and legal theory but also to legal philosophy and constitutional law.
The conference was held at European Faculty of Law, between 9. and 10. December 2016. The aim of the conference was to discuss actual democracy and constitutional challenges of European Union and its member states. You can find the programme of the conference at the following link.
