This article was talking about the positive impacts on small businesses that trumps tax bill would have. it talked about the reason why it would have such a positive impact is because the money would go full circle, small businesses would give people raises causing them to spend more money around the holiday season. This increased money flow to businesses would increase their profits causing them to be able to give even more raises. I didn't detect much bias from this article, although they were saying it would work. i feel like their wasn't much bias because Forbes is more of a business news network not much of a political news network. This article demonstrates more about how much power congress has over the Executive branch. Just from hearing all the things in the news about the tax bill it took very long to pass through congress and that's even after a few government shut downs.
This article was about the immigration bill. Trump was telling congress that if the bill comes through that way that hes not going to sign it because it doesn't fit with what he wants the immigration bill to look like. "It doesn't fix my common sense framework." This article was mainly explaining what is happening and used a lot of direct quotes from people, including the president. I didn't detect much bias in this article and i really don't know what but it seemed to be a good source to just understand what is happening instead of trying to form your opinion for you. This article shows the Executive power of the president. even if a bill makes it all the way through the house and senate the president can still say exactly what trump is saying, that they don't like it and wont sign off on it. now of course it can go back to congress and pass with a 2/3s vote but that is very hard to make happen and it would still be easier if he would just sign it.
This article was also about the immigration bill, but this one was just before they started talking about it, and what the republicans are hoping to happen. It says that republicans understand the framework trumps wants and are hoping that they can get it through how he wants it. In the article i didn't see much bias because it wasn't really talking about the bill just about what the republicans what, but at the end of the article were comments and all of them were republicans giving their option about the immigration bill, so there was some bias to a person reading this trying to form an opinion. This article also shows the power of the president and if he doesn't like the way something looks when he has to sign it then he wont. this i good and bad because it can protect against bad bills that somehow made it through congress but it can also be bad because it can be hard to pass bills sometimes.
This article shared about executive orders, and the two that he passed on trade. It also talked about how trump has passed more executive orders then any other president in a very long time. This article was by CNN watch is known for their bias and still i didn't detect much bias. it did have a lot of things about what trump might be doing wrong and how the media doesn't like him, but they were quoting people so that's not as bad as just saying it but that could definitely be seen as bias. This shows the power the president and his power to write executive orders.
