Info: Michael Scott became one of the most dynamic and round characters in TV history. He started out as an immature unloved man and he finished the series as a loved slightly less immature man. He spent many seasons searching for friends and warmth from people. As he leaves The Office he left behind a legacy, that truly could not be filled. If you watch Season 8 of The Office or beyond it never is the same. He is that character that you love to hate, but you miss when he is gone. He was a good boss even if he was incredibly stupid. He had compassion and love in his heart. This is useful because it gives everyone a background on Michael.
Info: The character Michael Scott taught us many things, some in which he did not even mean to teach us. We can learn to laugh at things and not take the curveballs life throws you so hard and seriously. He is quoted saying, "Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy. Both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me." This is silly. Michael is silly, but that is how he lives his life. Michael lives by the motto to never set the bar low. He wanted his employees to never give up. He is quoted saying, " The only time I set the bar low is for limbo." Michael didn't always receive an applause from his employees, actually he never did. The people he worked with treated him like an idiot, but with good cause. All in all Michael was a good boss even if he never received recognition until the end. When Jim realizes it is Michael's last day he tells him this, "You know what I think we should do? I think we should just save the goodbyes for tomorrow at lunch. And then tomorrow, I can tell you what a great boss you turned out to be. Best boss I ever had." These quotes are very useful because it gives us more insight on how Michael is and what his kind of humor is.
Info: Although he is sometimes a racist, sexist, idiot he has the biggest heart. In the beginning of the show he was awful, but as the show went on he became more and more tolerable. Michael would practically harass the receptionist Pam, but he then grew to Michael learns how to respect women and people. It is also a theory that Michael Scott was bisexual because of his strange relationship with Ryan. He calls him " as hot as Jan, but in a different way," and gives him the Hottest in the Office Dundie. Michael cares about the arts. He often is doing improv acting classes and when Pam had her art showcase he was the only one to show up. He even bought her painting. Michael Scott is not the smartest or best employee by any means, but he never gives up. He never wants to let people down and that is what makes him so special. This is useful because it shows Michael changing through out the show.
I have been hyping Michael up, but he is probably also the cringiest character ever on television. Info: 1. The cringiest episode would be "Scott's Tots." Michael promises this group of students college tuition when they are very little. Time passes and it is graduation year, but Michael can not pay for these students college. He lied and it is awful. 2. When Michael is driving to give old customers gift basket he drives into a lake even though he can visibly see there is a lake. 3. When Jan is doing her deposition against the company he makes a " that's what she said" joke and it completely ruins her argument against the country. 4. Michael finds out that Stanley has been cheating on his wife and tell people. Then he decides to start rumors about everyone in the office to throw them off. 5. He hits Merideth with his car and then saves he saves her life because she could have had rabies. This website was useful because it had lists and explanations of all the embarrassing things Michael has done.
