On January 20th, the City of Raleigh Museum hosted Raleigh Roasts, an event celebrating Raleigh’s café culture. Visitors were provided with samples of various local brews. This event was a huge success. We were seen by over 400 local specialty coffee lovers. At times, 40 people were lined up to taste our coffee and we sold 10 bags in 2 hours.
The Marketing Department has started to push the coffee equipment campaign. We are raising awareness about our ability to provide guidance, support, and services to business owners who are looking to purchase coffee and espresso equipment. In the first month, the campaign has generated interest from several prospects looking to explore working with us. Customers can choose from our top four best-selling equipment groupings or contact us for custom groupings.
In a growing effort to educate and empower our partners, we have launched the Coffee Skills Landing Page to raise awareness about this opportunity. Our course offerings, taught by Brady Butler, our authorized SCA trainer, can transform beginners can into capable baristas. Know someone who wants to learn more about brewing? On February 2nd, we collaborated with Charlotte Coffee Collective to put on another successful brewology workshop. Brady Butler represented Dilworth Coffee well educating a group of nearly 40 people in various brewing methods. There will be additional Brewology Lab Workshops in Raleigh and Charlotte throughout the rest of the year.
Our customer Smashed Waffle Company has opened its first Triangle location last month. The “Waffle-Wiches” and ice cream “Smashed-Wiches” can now be found its new home at 2304 Hillsborough St. Stop by to check out their sweet waffles.
