We have updated our Coffee Portfolio for the Spring and Summer of 2018! We've added a section for iced coffee and cold brew coffee. Our premier light blend, Looking Glass, is now featured as a Signature Blend. We also introduced two new flavors Maple Cream and Toasted Coconut. Please only share the Spring/Summer coffee portfolio with customers and prospects.
March is an exciting time of year. To celebrate the beginning of Spring and March Madness we launched a Sweet 16 flash sale to get retail coffee fans dance-ready with Dilworth Coffee. As a result, enjoyed a slam dunk return on our investment!
We started the year focusing on sales of coffee, equipment, training and services by launching a digital display advertising campaign. The digital display advertising allows us to deliver messages to buyers when and where they are shopping for coffee, equipment, training and coffee consulting services. As Q1 comes to a close, we are excited to report our campaign successes! Our ads helped create seven new wholesale accounts and included three inquiries about licensing the Dilworth Coffee brand, three inquiries about equipment purchases/installation and one training event. We will continue digital display advertising, as well as other digital marketing tactics, through the second quarter.
With Earth Day around the corner, our Featured Coffee for April is Organic Carolina Rain. Organic Carolina Rain is uniquely adaptable. It can be enjoyed either hot or cold, making it a perfect coffee to enjoy from April showers through May flowers and beyond.
Our, wholesale coffee customer Kaffeinate received a nomination for Durham Magazine's Best of Durham. Voting ended on March 16 and results will be announced in the June/July issue so be sure to stay tuned! If you are ever in Durham, be sure to visit them at 115A North Duke St.
We were privileged to brew our coffee at the first ever POUR Coffee Festival in Charlotte. The sold-out event gave over 400 coffee lovers a chance to try our new Honduras Finca Cual Bicicleta honey processed coffee. They also enjoyed our Uganda Bulaago and our Midnight Lotus expresso. Proceeds from POUR Coffee Festival will help build a scholarship fund with WINCC to support marginalized coffee professionals who desire to compete in coffee competitions.
Brady led our first-ever Brewing Intermediate course in our Dilworth Coffee Training Center as part of the Specialty Coffee Association Coffee Skills Program. We want to make coffee training a point of emphasis going into Q2, with a marketing push around the Specialty Coffee Association Expo in April. Be on the lookout for coffee education opportunities in the coming months.
Batch 0995 now has a new Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) program, which sets a minimum price that distributors and other resellers can use when advertising Batch 0995 coffee. An MAP ensures we can maintain positive brand attributes and high perceived value. This program is part of an effort by our coffee customer W.A. DeHart to more broadly sub-distribute the Batch 0995 products.
