As a result of the poisoning and health risks that the intoxicated water brought many people began demanding new and healthier water to use and consume.
The pollution and toxication of the river had harsh chemicals such as lead in it. Although, this wasn't even the worst part. As the primary source of drinking water was switched to the Flint River we began to drink the water, cook with it, bathing and cleaning! This meaning that the people who lived in this area and drank and used this water became poisoned. The poisoning caused skin rashes, carcinogens and even death.
The Flint river began to sufficiently become more toxic. This happened because factories as well as people began to dump sewage, road salt and chemicals into the flint river along with other ways to harmfully pollute the water.
As this water crisis started to occur there were many fingers to point for which person is to blame for this catastrophic disaster. Little did everyone know that the water source in Michigan had been changed to the Flint River.
