My mom was born in Uganda, Africa and grew up in England. My mom's dad was originally born in India, which is how Indian is from my mom's side.
My dad was born in India, and also grew up in India. Both my dad's parents grew up in India as well. That's how Indian is from my dad's side.
Because my mom was born in Africa but grew up in England, British food is something that we really enjoy. For example, Chocolate, Baked Beans, Fish and chips etc. When ever we go to England we always get all types of food that aren't available in US.
There is a variety of different Indian spices and foods from my culture. For example, curry, rice, lentils, Roti/chapati. There is a lot of Roti, Curry, Rice and lentils. In India they also have a lot of spices. Coriander, turmeric, tandoori masala, etc.

Paneer and Naan is one of my favorite foods, it is a classic India Food that a lot of people can enjoy. Paneer and Naan is a bread with a cheese, covered in a spice.

Everyday instead of going to fancy Indian restaurants, I get fresh cooked Indian food almost everyday that my mom and grandmother makes.
During the Islamic New Year, we eat about 10 - 20 dishes of food of all different types. Here are some facts about the Islamic New Year.
Another family Tradition we have is, usually we have spaghetti on Tuesday. Also on my birthday we like to go out for Thai food, because I LOVE Thai food.
A complete meal I could have everyday is, Spicy Vegetable Thai curry w/ Sticky rice. Along with Tom-Yum soup and Mango Ice cream for dessert. This is a picture of mango Ice Cream because I love mango, especially in ice cream. I also love to eat Thai food, for my birthday we go out for Thai food, and I could eat it every single day.
