In this book we discover that "a person is a person no matter how small". This book teaches us about kindness and perseverance. Which are two very important themes in friendship. As long as you have kindness you'll have friendship.
'' You just call on me brother, when you need a hand
We all need somebody to lean on
I just might have a problem that you'll understand
We all need somebody to lean on '' This is basically saying that whenever you have a problem, you can always count on him to be there, vice versa. Which is what my theme is all about.
It all starts when Bruno and his family move far far away, to a house in the middle of nowhere. Since he has no friends to play with he decides to go exploring to try and find someone to play with. He finds a tall tall fence, and sees a boy sitting on the other side of the fence, and decides to start playing with him not knowing why hes on the other side of the fence. Bruno doesn't believe its fair that this poor boy is sitting on the other side of the fence with nothing to eat and no toys to play so he decides to try and visit him. As soon as he crosses the fence, the German soldiers have plans for the Jews, which now includes Bruno. They both struggle to find a way to escape this prison camp. While they're trying to become friends and escape, they become really close friends and try to do anything for each other.
This show is centered on a sister and brother who struggle with coping with the sad, hilarious unfairness of life. While trying to deal with fitting in, they also have to try and find their real friends, and where they really do belong. Both Lindsay and Sam end up getting labeled "freak" or "geek" down the road, which is inevitable to some extent. Both groups rely on each other when they feel alone and out of place, and they know that they can always count on them.
This children book is about a little pig who becomes famous with the help of his clever friend Charlotte and their friendly chatty animal neighbors. From the beginning of the book Wilbur struggles to survive. Wilbur later moves to the Zuckerman farm , where he is taken care of and is being fed well. He later learns that their is a good reason as to why he is being fed so well, he will be eaten!!! Wilbur struggles to divert the plans of mr. Zuckerman with the help of Charlotte and her terrific webs. This is a great example of my theme because it really shows how Wilbur and Charlotte's frisndship helps him stay alive. Even if they didn't quite get along in the beginning, they learned that if they stuck together, they were much happier, with each other by their side.
The show friends features Chandler, Joey, Phoebe, Rachel, Ross, and Monica who live in the same apartment building, facing life and love in New York. This show is a great example of my theme because throughout the show you see them always struggling to find the right person for them and in that among other things. While they were trying to find themselves, they stumbled upon each other and sort of fell in love because they believed it was the right thing at the time. Whenever they needed each other, they put whatever was happening in their personal lives aside and supported each other, always.
In the movie Toy Story, Woody, Buzz Light Year, slinky, hamm, Mr & Mrs. Potato, etc live in the house of Andy, as his toys. Woody and his friends go through a series of adventures together like, when woody was taken by a toy collector and his friends had to find him. There was another incident where Buzz got stuck inside of a toy machine ( The Claw) , so woody and the crowd had to come to the rescue. The toys had one last adventure, not planned of course, they were misplaced inside of a day-care and had to plan their escape in order to find Andy again. This is a perfect example of friendships going through hardships because no matter how many times they got lost and didn't like each other in some instances, they were still there for each other, like any other friend should when you need them.
This play is about an orphan girl named Annie. She struggles day to day to believe that she has parents who are a live, and love her. Her friends at the orphanage help her find her parents, while doing that shes living at Mr. Warchuck's house (mansion) . So while shes struggling to find her parents shes trying to keep in contact with her closest friends, because they were there for her when she felt like she needed a shoulder to cry on. I think this movie is a great example of how friendships are the necessities to getting through hardships because of how they were always there when Annie needed them, and even when she lived in a millionaires house, they still tried contacting her and never stopped being friends with her.
In the book, a separate peace finny and gene were faced with war. It compromised their adolescence but yet they stuck together through it all. Although there were some events between them that were dramatic, like the tree incident. They always managed to peace back together their friendship.
