The non-violence protest was influenced on MLK by Gandhi who is like the father of non-violent protest that freed India. It also the same non-violent protest that freed black people that MLK used. MLK said to protest by marching, not to back down when the police came or the fire hoses, and lastly be arrested by braking unfair laws.
Nelson Mandela had similar views as Gandhi he was non-violent in south Africa and was arrested. He still carried operations out like Gandhi but at a smaller scale. Then he changed he made a group who atacked certain points for freeing South afercia. Finally the first free election came and Nelson Mandela was the first black president of South Africa.
Gandhi was the a leader in freeing India from Great Britain and also the Performer and Father of non-violent. Using civil disobedience that freed India. He planed a 240 mile salt march and sent a friendly letter to the governor of India who was fighting against him. It said "I don't wish to hurt a single living thing and man at that."
