Nelson Mandela was also a black civil rights activist, and his views of jail were similar to Gandhi's. He saw it as a way to get to the police, to show them that his followers will stand up and fight for their rights.
MLK was a black civil rights activist, influenced by Gandhi's ways of non-violent protest and showing this by leading non-violent marches and speeches. Such as the I have a Dream speech and the many marches he led. But also similar to Gandhi, he was shot to death.
Mohandas Gandhi was an Indian rights activist most known for standing up for the British and taking part of the non-violent movement called the Salt March. He came from a good family, more wealthy then others and he sought out to be a lawyer but after facing racism on his way to success he became a rights activist to get freedom from the British. Though sadly in January of 1948 he was shot and killed.
