Yes, there are many benefits to GMO's, but we have to think about the cons too. For example, GMO's can cause lots of environmental damage. Also, we don't know the long-term health affects GMO's could be having on us right now. We haven't been using GMO's long enough to know what long-term affects they could have on us. They could be extremely dangerous to us later in life, or they could have no affect at all- we don't know. Overall, I believe the benefits outweigh the risks and GMO's are a beneficial addition to our world.

Another benefit to genetically modified food is cost. Yes, the seeds for genetically modified food are a higher cost than regular seeds, but the pros that come with these higher seeds will eventually end up giving us a profit. Cost for pesticides is reduced with these seeds, along with less manpower needed to grow the crops. Eventually all the money being saved by buying a higher priced seed will add up and we will gain money, not lose it.
