Whenever people collect objects/things, they usually collect items such as stamps, comics, keychains, etc. But my obsession is adorable and unique stationery, such as fountain pens and brush pens. My pencil case is always stuffed with highlighters, washi tape, and gel pens. While the normal student grabs a random pen and heads out the door, my pencil case is ready for the apocalypse (or just the terrifying school day). With a good pen, I can get through ANYTHING.
During long road trips and short bus rides, I really enjoy listening to podcasts because I usually end up learning something new each time. My favorite podcast is "Stuff You Missed in History Class." This podcast talks about unique events in history that no one really mentions. Some of the topics include mysterious deaths, strange holiday traditions, and the lives of some of the most influential people today. I love history, and Social Studies is my favorite class.
Recently, I've really gotten into engineering and programming. This Christmas, my Dad and I got an EV3 set. I've learned to program and design this robot to move around obstacles and sense color. Although it was difficult at first, I've started to enjoy playing around with this robot. It's a great way to introduce yourself to the engineering world.
Whenever I'm trying to decide on which book to read, I always go to Goodreads. There are tons of recommendations and reviews, and it's a great place for me to connect with other bookworms out there. When I'm not doing homework or playing tennis, I like snuggling up in a good book and drink a hot drink. I LOVE reading. My favorite book is "A Farewell To Arms," written by Ernest Hemingway. I am currently reading a collection of Emily Dickinson's poems.
I've been playing tennis for 8 years! It is my favorite form of exercise. I play tournaments here and there, and I go to the US Open every other year to watch some of my favorite tennis players play! I play three times a week, and it gets VERY tiring (but it's worth it). I play at the Hopewell Valley Tennis and Swim Center.
I absolutely LOVE Star Wars. While many little girls at the time were watching "Snow White" and "Sleeping Beauty," I was too busy watching tie-fighters fly across the screen. My favorite movie is probably "Rogue One," but they are all amazing (except for the prequels...don't get me started on those). Although I enjoy Star Trek as well, I don't think anything can compare to the masterpiece that is Star Wars. I saw "The Last Jedi" over Christmas break, and it did not disappoint.
