H.H. Holmes built rooms that had things to kill and cripple his victims. The first room found by the police was a room on the third floor that had pads on the walls and a pipe to transfer gas to knock out and kill them. His most iconic room was called the red room. It was found on the third floor and had red splatters on the walls from his victims it had pipes and broken bottles that he used to kill his victims.

Holmes, was one of the first documented serial killers in the modern america. He confessed to at least 27 murders. There are only nine murders that were proven but more were confessed. He never truly opened the hotel part of the hotel. He also confessed to having still living people when he confessed in the crawl space of the hotel chained and tortured.
H.H. Holmes was one of Americas first serial killers. He made his hotel into a murder castle. He made a set of elaborate traps and different things to lure people into small spaces and then kill them. On May 7, 1896 he was hung and killed. He had went to court many ties for insurance fraud and conning people. He went to court atlas 46 times.
On September 4, !894 and office on 1316 the door was locked. The police forced the door open and found a man dead, disfigured, and burnt. Next to him lay a pipe, matches and a broken bottle that had a benzine like substance in it. The coroners came to the conclusion that he had died a few days before. This was the first murder of H.H.
