The High Court of Karnataka on Tuesday allowed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to interrogate former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, while continuing its earlier interim order of restraining the SIT from arresting him in the case of alleged corruption in granting permission for mining activities during his tenure as Chief Minister.
Counsel representing SIT said there was a need for custodial interrogation of KUmarswamy to get documents from him related to the case. Last week on June 15 the HC had directed SIT not to arrest HD Kumaraswamy till next hearing. He was denied anticipatory bail by a special court in the case on June 13.

"I warn leaders sitting in glass house not to throw stones at others. History has proven that the glass house is not a permanent place for any leader or political party," Kumaraswamy said during a debate in the legislative assembly on demands of various departments.
