Please listen to Dr. Cherubini's podcast on Health-Related Fitness (until at least 6 minutes and 30 seconds). This podcast does very well explaining the 5 components of health-related fitness – cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and optimal body composition. Dr. Cherubini describes the difference between physical activity and exercise. He also gives examples and emphasizes that things we do every day "count" as movement or physical activity.
