The source is a video of a Warsaw radio commentator describing German's invasion of Poland. Although there was a non-aggression pact between the two countries signed, Germany decided to break the pact when they invaded Poland. This caused the European democracies to retaliate against their actions, causing war. Thus, Hitler was the cause of World War 2.
The image shows Polish people taken from the concentration camps and dressed as Germans then killed to spread their anti-German message to the Polish people when they invaded Poland undercover to show credibility. The Germans wanted to invade Poland although the European Democracies warned them against doing so. This behaviour of theirs lead to the outrage of the European democracies which caused the war, thus this source shows that Hitler was the cause of the war.
The source talks about how Hitler Attempted to take back Rhineland, after it was demilitarised due to the Treaty of Versailles. As they successfully obtained back Rhineland and had no actions taken against them, Hitler thought he could attempt to take advantage of this fact to strengthen German strength, without taking heed of the warnings issued by the European Democracies, to the point that they could not accept being taken advantage of anymore, causing the war, which shows that Hitler was the cause of the war
The source shows portrayals of France and Britain warning Mussolini after knowing of his plans to invade Abyssinia. This source was chosen as it shows that although they did not support the actions of Mussolini, they did not interfere with his actions physically, as they had no power to do so. As this meant that the European democracies had no intentions of stopping any invasions from occurring, and would not do anything even if you did not listen to what they said, they were not taken seriously and thus they were unable to keep a tight leash on all nations which caused the war
the sources describes the conditions stated in the Treaty of Versailles., namely, the war guilt clause, reparations Germany had to face, the territorial losses they had, as well as the crippling of their own military power leading to world war 2. This lead to world war 2 as Germany could not stand the humiliation that the treaty made them go through, and the built up resentment of the Germans who had to go through all that humiliation, and them unable to take it anymore which lead to them rebelling and causing world war 2. This source shows me that the European Democracies are the ones who caused the war as if not for then coming with such cruel conditions in the treaty that Germany was forced to accept, the war would not have happened.
The source talks about how after WWI, the European democratic had no power in their hands due to the American policy of Isolationism, which meant America had no intention of helping the European democracies in stopping other countries in conquering other lands, so they could only try to convince countries such as japan and Italy to stop invading other countries while they themselves had no power to stop them so anything bad they did was not properly punished for and the countries would not stop their invasion of other countries. The European democracies were weak, which lead to war.
