Figure 4: are two pictures of one of Ed Sheeran’s big performances. You can see that the picture on the left is a closer shot than the one on the right which lets you get a better view of all of the people that are there watching him perform. In the photo on the left you can see clearly that there are sic massive screens that are projecting a picture of Ed in a special effect filter so the crowd further down from the stage can see him better. Also you can see lots of spot lights and speakers that are placed around the stage. The lights can change colour to give a better effect of colour to go with the coloured screens. In the picture on the right you can see a massive crowd of people watching. But chances are that’s only a little part of the whole entire crowd because most concerts and performances today have up woods of 70,000 thousand people that go to see their favourite bands and munitions live. This is influenced by glam rock through that glam rock bands in the 70s had huge performances with massive fireworks displays and just as massive crowds to go with it.
In figure 3 you can see a picture of ruby rose who is an Australian model, DJ, recording artist, actress, television presenter and former MTV VJ. But most importantly she is an androgynous person meaning that in this case she is a female but she has some features of a male. Like in figure 3 you can see that her hair cut is more to look like a males hair cut you can also see that she is wearing a white tank top which is not what a female would usually wear. She also has a lot of tattoos on her body, I’m not saying that females don’t ever have this amount of tattoos on then but in this case it adds to the androgynous look. This is influenced by glam rock from the 70s because most bands in the 70s that were classified as glam rock bands had this same androgynous look where men wore lots of makeup and had long hair to sort of appear as a female.
Figure 2 shows a picture of the band Kaleo. They are a modern day band but if you were to listen to a couple of their songs you would probably think otherwise. Because unlike most bands of today that use computers and auto tune to make their music Kaleo still uses traditional instruments to make their music. As you can see from figure 2 the lead singer JJ Julius Son is playing an acoustic guitar that is hooked up to an amp. Also in the background on the drums you can see David Antonsson. And finally on the bass guitar you can see Daniel Kristjanson. Kaleo is a modern day blues rock band and is impacted by glam rock from the 70s because they both use similar or the same instruments to make their music.
Figure 1 is a picture of Lady Gaga wearing a dress that is made out of red meat. Even her shoes and her hat are made from red meat. It doesn’t look very appealing because well it’s raw and it looks pretty tared up and butchered. Her shoes are not purely meat though because you can see that on her left leg you can see a little bit of her actual boot where the meat isn’t covering it properly. It still retains the basic shape of dress with the meat on one leg ending before the meat on the other and how the dress is slim and follows Gaga’s body lines. Bands and solo artists wear these types of extravagant and unusual clothing so they can get exposure and get their name out there so people remember who they are.
