The book Refugee by Alan Gratz is about three people that want to escape the chaos that is happening in their home country and look for a better life somewhere else. Josef, Mahmoud, and Isabel were the three protagonists. Josef was a Jew living in Germany in WWII. Mahmoud was living in Syria during airstrikes. Isabel was living in Cuba during the Fidel Castro era. Some of the outcomes were good for these people and some of them got them killed.
This article explains the domino affect of injustice and how it can spread throughout the world, and how people deal with injustice and how they try and improve their lives.
The National Memorial for Peace and Justice is located in Montgomery, Alabama. It was first opened on April 26, 2018. This memorial was made to dedicate all African Americans during the segregation time period and to prevent another event that is related to segregation to occur again. The memorial hopes to bring all cultures and races together and to unite as one big group. They want people to be treated equally and make a better world for each and every individual.
