figure 3 is an album cover released by Kendrick Lamar that shows violence. It shows violence because there is a person on the floor that appears to be dead, the rest of the people that are on this album cover are leaning violently towards the 'dead' person. Their body language and facial expressions are very violent and aggressive looking, there is a person in the bottom right hand corner that is sticking their middle finger up at the camera. Violence is an important part of the Gangsta Rap lifestyle because a lot of their lyrics were influenced by events that occurred in there life that were caused by violence or gangs. some major artist that had songs that were influenced or about violence were 2Pac, Biggie Smalls and N.W.A. Figure 3 proves that violence lifestyles from the 80's and 90's are still impacting Australia today because this album was very popular. Figure 2 is a good representation of the profanities that are still used in Gangsta Rap today. This song is describing A$AP Rocky’s love for “Bad” women, and uses different types of profanities such as racial, sexual and abusive profanities. This is an important part of 80's Gangsta Rap because all Gangsta Rap artists had some kind of swearing in their lyrics. Some examples of gangsta rap artists from the 80's that used profanities in their lyrics include N.W.A, 2pac, Biggie Smalls, and DR. Dre.
Figure two proves that profanities are still being used and impacting Australian society today because it has swearing all throughout the song in the lyrics and even the title of the song. N.W.A is a rap group that is known all around the world because of many reasons, one of the reasons is the amount of violence caused crimes influenced by them.one of the main elements of Gangsta Rap was crime and violent lifestyles. Most people that listened to rap music were influenced by their lyrics and actions. In most rap songs the lyric were all about crime, drugs and violence. This video is a good representation of how Gangsta Rap influenced others to act violently towards each other. throughout the video you can see many different violent riots that are caused by either N.W.A or their lyrics. throughout the video you can see many different ways and perspectives on how people lived. these lifestyles are still influencing society today because the movie of Straight Outta Compton is a huge box office film that almost everyone has watched. its rise to success has shown that Australians are still interested in how rappers lifestyles were and how they influenced people back then and even to this day. kinocheck.
