This site goes even further in depth talking about how their motives were particularly selfish and for political purposes they invaded the land. It was because of how they believes they were the most superior so they were not the ones who were afraid of taking anything they wanted regardless of anything. It also explains the other four main reasons such as: Economic, Exploratory, Ethnocentric, and Religious.
Gives a brief summary on the motive of imperialism, the one more specific to my topic would be the Political because they simply wants more power and land for their own gain. Another could also be Economic because they wanted to get richer from the resources they would take from the people.
This is another review that goes in depth in the imperialistic side addressed in the film, he talks about the government or in the imperialist case , the Europeans, into exploiting their land and taking it over for nothing but their own personal benefit. Of course the people fight back once again and are met with the military fighting back harder.
